Embroidered Clothing

Embroidered clothing started back in ancient Greece and continues to grow more and more every day. You can’t go anywhere without seeing someone wearing a nicely embroidered T Shirt. Embroidery can be seen on anything, ranging from uniforms and polo shirts to bags and towels. For those of you that don’t know what embroidery is, it’s when a material such as fabric is decorated with a needle and thread.

How is it done?

Dating back to when it first came around, all embroidered pieces were made by hand. Thanks to modern technology, machinery makes this process and whole lot more efficient. Here at T King Associates, we make use of the latest Tajima Embroidery machines to produce our embroidered clothing and workwear. These machines are able to embroider a logo at a rate of 1000 stitches per minute and can run up to 18 items of clothing at any one time.

Printed clothing

Printed clothing is made from a process called Screen Printing and is also a highly growing trend throughout 2018. The most popular type is the Printed T Shirt which is worn by many from around the world.

How is it done?

Printed clothing is made through a method called Screen Printing. Screen Printing is a traditional ink-based print method, which makes use of a ‘screen’ through which ink is pressed onto the surface of fabric. A screen is made by tightly stretching a fine mesh over a frame whilst ensuring tension across the surface. It used to be known as ‘Silk Printing’, due to the silk content within the mesh stencils.
