Ever not been able afford tickets to the next big event? These people have, and they’ve improvised!
WE DO NOT CONDONE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS
As you may be aware, at occasions such as Festivals staff wear Hi Vis clothing. This is to show that they indeed work there and people can go to them in need of assistance. You may have figured what these people are doing… wearing Hi vis clothing as a disguise!
Some people are buying Hi Vis clothing from places like this, and using it to disguise as staff. Some are even bringing fake walkie-talkies and name badges to make it more believable, but sometimes it’s more hassle than it’s worth, with people asking them endless questions and the risk of wasting their time.
How are these people getting away with it?
If you see someone at a festival wearing Hi Vis stepping through a barrier, or walking past security, you’ll assume they’re on their way to fix an issue.
A lesson to learn
This blog teaches that you should never trust someone just because they are wearing Hi Vis clothing or ‘acting’ as staff. Next time you’re considering trusting someone wearing Hi Vis, think again.
Reason NOT to do this
- If a big name is performing, then security will be teeming anyway.
- You’ll have to act like security, not just look like them.
- There’s a lot of waiting around involved.
